glizid 80mg is an oral anti-diabetic, it is used to lower the blood sugar level. It is used only in patients diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. It may be used along with Insulin or other medicines in order to achieve better control over the blood sugar levels. A controlled diet and exercise routine may give better results.
Glizid 80 MG Tablet also has some side effects that are not experienced by everyone taking it. The side effects are – diarrhea, dizziness, stomach cramps, joint pain, gastrointestinal problems, headaches, increased skin sensitivity, vomiting and nausea. Hypoglycemia – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients with hypoglycemia as it increases the risk of lowering of blood glucose levels. Inform the doctor if you experience any symptoms like dizziness, confusion or weakness.
Impaired kidney function – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients suffering from a severe kidney imparement.
Impaired liver function – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients suffering from a severe liver impairment.
Hemolytic Anemia – Glizid 80 MG Tablet is not recommended in the patients with glucose-6-phosphate (G6PD) deficiency due to the risk of developing hemolytic anemia.
